Your Opinion Matters
Whether it’s a technical suggestion to make the website faster, a business idea that will enhance the user experience for our members, or an improvement to the onboarding process, your opinion matters. When you get a product specification to start building a feature, there is an expectation that you will ask questions and find ways to upgrade the final product. You’ll work closely with other engineers to develop and implement a plan of attack. Suggestions for improvements and simplifications are welcome and part of the process of building the right things.
Ownership
There is no micro-managing here. As an engineer, you’ll work with the team to decide on a timeline for building a feature. You’ll have regular check-ins with other engineers to review your approach and progress. You’ll own the process of getting your code released, and will give demos of your work to the company. You’ll check data and user stories to ensure things are working as expected. You’ll get shout-outs in company meetings praising you for all your hard work.
Immediate Results
We push code to production every day. We have two-week sprint cycles where we prioritize features that will have the biggest impact on our customers. If you talk to a customer on Monday, you can be building something that week to help them grow their business. It’s exciting to see features come to life in real time. After you launch your feature, you can check in on the data and brainstorm with the Product team for ways to make it even better.

Fun Culture
We have a great team that cares about each other and will have your back. We have game nights, poker nights, and Halloween costume contests. When we were in the office we had a “Pie for Breakfast” day where folks brought in different pies to share with the team. You can nerd out with your fellow engineers at lunch and spend 15 minutes looking at a Wikipedia page on what countries different fruits and vegetables come from. Bring your trivia knowledge; you’ll need it.
